BOAT TITLING AND REGISTRATION SERVICES AT CARSON CITY TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
Due to the State’s current fiscal situation, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is temporarily suspending their boat titling and registration services offered at the Department of Motor Vehicle office in Carson City.
For customers seeking information or assistance in regard to boat titling and registration, contact the NDOW office in Reno at (775) 688-1506, or the NDOW Fallon office at (775) 688-2881, Ext.222.
NDOW is evaluating this one-day per week service and hopes to reestablish this limited service at a new location in the Carson City area at some point in the future.
Currently, customers can take their boats to be inspected at three area NDOW offices. The Reno Office on 1100 Valley Road is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with no boats inspected after 4:30 p.m. The Winnemucca Office on 815 E. Fourth St. is open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and the Fallon Office on 380 West B. St. is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., although it is closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, and promotes fishing, hunting and boating safety. NDOW’s wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen’s licenses, conservation fees and a federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a sportsmen’s license.
