WILDLIFE DAMAGE MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE COMMITTEES TO MEET THIS WEEK

The Wildlife Damage Management and Finance Committees will meet this week prior to the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners meeting this Friday and Saturday.

The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) Reno office on Valley Road. The committee will hear reports on changes in NDOW personnel and out of state travel expenses. The committee will also review the proposed FY 2012-2013 executive budget request for the Commission and County Advisory Boards and make recommendations for incorporation in NDOW’s budget request to the Executive Budget Office.

The Wildlife Damage Management Committee will meet Friday beginning at 9 a.m. in the Churchill County Commission Chambers in Fallon, located at 155 Taylor St. Committee members will hear reports on project effectiveness in increasing bighorn sheep and mule deer populations in Area 014, contracting with private entities and FY 2010 budget expenditures. The committee will also be asked to review, make changes to, and recommend approval of budgets for all 2011 projects.
