Commission General Regulations

  • CGR 399 - relating to wildlife; authorizing the Department of Wildlife to issue a special permit to allow a person to handle, move or temporarily possess any wildlife which is classified as protected under certain circumstances; setting forth the information which must be included in an application for the special permit; specifying the maximum period of validity of the special permit; requiring a holder of the special permit to submit a report to the Department within a certain period after the special permit expires; and providing other matters properly relating thereto. Effective December 20, 2012
  • CGR 400 - relating to wildlife; authorizing the commercial taking of crayfish without the imposition of demerit points under certain circumstances; authorizing the importation,transportation or possession of a certain species of shad; prohibiting the importation, transportation or possession of a certain species of eel; authorizing a person to obtain a permit to take crayfish commercially from the waters of Lake Tahoe under certain circumstances; authorizing the filleting of fish before transport under certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 401 - relating to wildlife; declassifying the red fox as a fur-bearing mammal; classifying the rosy boa as a protected reptile; providing for the possession, transportation, importation and exportation of certain wolves without a permit or license issued by the Department of Wildlife; and providing other matters properly relati thereto.   • CGR 402 - relating to hunting; deleting provisions which require a successful applicant for a bighorn sheep tag or his or her licensed guide or subguide to attend an indoctrination course relating to bighorn sheep and which require a hunter to possess a binocular or spotting scope with certain minimum power while hunting bighorn sheep; making it unlawful to alter or remove a seal attached to or an identification number branded on the horns of a bighorn sheep by the Department of Wildlife; deleting provisions that require a person to provide written notice to the Department after transferring ownership of the skull of a bighorn sheep which has been sealed or branded by the Department; revising the circumstances under which a person must carry a hunting license, state duck stamp and federal migratory bird hunting stamp on his or her person while hunting swan; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 403 - relating to wildlife; providing for the management of all wildlife within management areas established by the Department of Wildlife; revising the boundaries of certain management areas; creating new management units within certain management areas; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 404 - relating to wildlife; prohibiting a person from hunting any wildlife using a radio signal or other transmission received from any transmitting device that is attached to the wildlife; requiring a person who kills any wildlife to which a transmitting device is attached to notify the Department of Wildlife and coordinate the return of the transmitting device to the Department under certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 405 - relating to hunting; specifying the price for each Dream Tag sold to certain nonprofit organizations; specifying requirements for the purchase of Dream Tag raffle chances; specifying requirements for the purchase of resource enhancement stamps and chances to win a Dream Tag raffle and for the issuance, refusal to accept or return of Dream Tags; requiring recipients of a Dream Tag to return certain other tags and to submit a certain questionnaire; requiring a private entity that conducts a Dream Tag raffle to provide certain information to the Department of Wildlife; prohibiting the issuance of Dream Tags by the private entity before receiving certain notification from the Department; setting forth certain circumstances under which a Dream Tag is valid for use; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 417 - relating to crayfish; authorizing a holder of a permit to take crayfish from the waters of Lake Tahoe to sell the crayfish to a food wholesaler or restaurant for human consumption; requiring the buyer and the seller of the crayfish to retain certain records of the purchase; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 420 - relating to hunting; requiring an applicant for a tag who wishes to be included on an alternate list to apply electronically for the tag and indicate on the electronic application his or her desire to be included on the alternate list; requiring the Department of Wildlife to maintain certain records concerning the alternate lists; deleting certain provisions which require the Department to attempt to notify an applicant appearing on an alternate list; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • CGR 421 - relating to hunting; allowing for party applications for tags to hunt any antlerless elk or antelope with horns shorter than its ears; clarifying the circumstances under which a person may transfer bonus points; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.   • AB 307 - relating to energy development projects; requiring that notices relating to energy development projects which are filed with the Department of Wildlife contain certain information; requiring certain applicants to pay reimbursement costs in advance to the Department; establishing a cap on the collection of reimbursement costs by the Department; requiring the Department to return to an applicant any unused portion of reimbursement costs paid in advance; providing for the appeal of certain decisions of the Department; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
