Fraternity of Desert Bighorn Lahontan Audubon Society The Maison T Ortiz Youth Outdoor Skills Camp is a two-and-a-half-day event near Pyramid Lake that has been designed to give a full outdoor skills training and overnight camping experience. The primary focus is urban and rural children who may not otherwise have many opportunities to experience Nevada’s outdoors and wildlife related activities. Mule Deer Foundation The mission of the Mule Deer Foundation is to ensure the conservation of mule and blacktail deer and their habitats. The Nature Conservancy The Nature Conservancy works to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. National Wild Turkey Federation The National Wild Turkey Federation supports scientific wildlife management on public, private and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport. Nevada Bighorns Unlimited Nevada Bighorns Unlimited was founded upon the admirable goal of “Putting Sheep on the Mountain.” Nevada Land Conservancy A private, non-profit land protection organization. Our mission is to protect and preserve the special places and open spaces of Nevada for future generations. A majority of our projects receive attention and funding for the wildlife resources protected through fee-simple acquisition or protection through conservation easements. Nevada Natural Resource Education Council (NNREC) The Nevada Natural Resource Education Council is a statewide not-for-profit organization whose goal is to develop and promote natural resource education in Nevada. Nevada Waterfowl Association Nevada Waterfowl Association's mission is to protect, restore and enhance Nevada's wetlands and the wildlife dependent upon them, especially waterfowl and shorebirds. Nevada Waterfowl Association works closely with organizations such as the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Nevada Department of Wildlife, Lahontan Wetlands Coalition, The Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, and other conservation organizations that share the goal of preserving Nevada's unique desert wetlands for future generations to enjoy. Nevada Outdoorsmen in WheelchairsNevada Outdoorsmen in Wheelchairs was started in 2008 in order to provide hunting and outdoor experiences to individuals whose disabilities confine them to a wheelchair. Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC) is an inclusive partnership dedicated to the conservation of the herpetofauna--reptiles and amphibians--and their habitats. Reno Tur-Toise Club RTTC is dedicated to find homes for adoptee tortioses and turtles of all kinds, but mainly the Desert Tortoises that are being evicted from tortoise habitat by land development in southern Nevada. Note: Adoptions from our organization are for Nevada residents only. Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation The mission of the Elk Foundation is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat. In support of this mission the Elk Foundation is committed to: Conserving, restoring and enhancing natural habitats; Promoting the sound management of wild, free-ranging elk, which may be hunted or otherwise enjoyed; Fostering cooperation among federal, state and private organizations and individuals in wildlife management and habitat conservation; and Educating members and the public about habitat conservation, the value of hunting, hunting ethics and wildlife management Teaming with Wildlife Western Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies The Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA) represents fish and wildlife agencies from 23 states and Canadian provinces, spanning from Alaska to Texas and Saskatchewan to Hawaii - an area covering nearly 3.7 million square miles of some of North America's most wild and scenic country, inhabited by over 1500 premier wildlife species. Wildlife and Habitat Improvement of Nevada Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program The primary responsibility of the California and Nevada Region, Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR), is to administer grants to other entities, primarily State fish and wildlife agencies. Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation Inc. (WWIA) serves our Nation’s combat wounded Purple Heart recipients by providing world-class outdoor sporting activities as a means to recognize and honor their sacrifice, encourage independence and connections with communities, and promote healing and wellness through camaraderie and a shared passion for the outdoors.
