NDOW SPONSORS CONNECTING CHILDREN WITH WILDLIFE
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is sponsoring a series of presentations and trail hikes designed for elementary students and their families. A variety of topics focusing on outdoor fun and local wildlife are planned. Upcoming topics include amazing adaptations, batty bats, fun with field guides, life under river rocks, and wild evidence. We also have a special talk about owls by Amy Leist from the Great Basin Bird Observatory. Each presentation will incorporate projects and games as well as an outdoor portion along the Oxbow Nature Trail to tie it all together. The series will run through the summer and takes place on the third Saturday of each month. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. The classes are free to all participants.
