NDOW SPONSORS KID’S CARP DERBY
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is sponsoring a kid’s carp derby starting on June 5, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This clinic is designed for children and is free to all participants. There will be a contest for the largest carp caught. Categories will be separated by age.
WHAT: Kid’s Carp Derby
WHEN: Saturday, June 5, 2010, starting at 8 a.m. and ending at noon.
WHERE: Meeting place will be at the north boat ramp of Lahontan Reservoir.
SIGN-UPS: Registration is required. For more information call the Department of Wildlife at 688-1559.
AGES: Minimum 3 years of age. A parent or guardian must accompany all children under 16.
BRING: Participants are requested to provide their own tackle. A limited number of rods are available for use by those who do not have their own fishing equipment.
COST: Free
NOTE: A fishing license is required for those 12 years of age and older.
