FREE FAMILY FISHING CLINIC
The Nevada Department of Wildlife will hold a free family fishing clinic Saturday, Oct.16 at the Sunset Park pond.
Anglers of all ages are welcome. NDOW volunteers will teach participants such fishing basics as bait and lure selection, casting techniques and knot tying. Clinic activities will begin at 9 a.m. on the south side of the pond. Space is limited so registration is required. Participants who are 12 years of age and older must have a valid Nevada fishing license. For more information contact Ivy Santee at 486-5127 x 3503. Registration starts at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, and promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW's wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen's license and conservation fees and a federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org.
