NDOW SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR ARCHERY EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is on the hunt, so to speak, for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers who would like to be part of the agency's Archery Education Program. Though volunteers are primarily needed for classroom instruction, opportunities also are available for those who would like to help with equipment maintenance and repair. There also may be some opportunity to assist with the Nevada National in the Archery Schools Program.
Less than two years old, the Archery Education Program offers public workshops designed to introduce people to the sports of archery and bowhunting. As the program continues to unfold, workshops will be offered at both introductory and intermediate levels. In addition to workshops centered on traditional archery activities, class offerings will include bowfishing, and an introduction to crossbows.
For more information on becoming an Archery Education Program Volunteer, contact Chris Cheff at 702-486-5127 x3504.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW's wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen's license and conservation fees and a Federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org.
