NDOW SPONSORS INTRODUCTION TO FLY FISHING CLINIC
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is sponsoring a two-day introduction to fly fishing clinic starting on Thursday, July 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continuing on Saturday July 9, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This clinic is designed for entry-level fly anglers and is free to all participants. The class is limited to the first 12 who sign up. Participants must attend both days of this clinic.
WHAT - Class is geared for entry-level fly anglers. We will cover equipment, knot tying, and demonstrate techniques for fly fishing still water. Additional information will be on float tube safety and entomology.
WHEN - Thursday, July 7, 2011, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
Saturday July 9, 2011, starting at 7 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m.
WHERE - Thursday – Elko City Park ( Saturday- Angel Lake, class will be meeting at NDOW Office at 7 a.m.)
SIGN-UPS - For registration and more information call the Department of Wildlife at 777-2305.
AGES - Minimum 12 years of age. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
BRING - Participants are requested to provide their own tackle. A limited number of rods are available for use by those who do not have their own fishing equipment. Float tubes are available for loan, but waders are needed for the use of float tubes. Note: A fishing license is required for those 12 years of
age and older.
COST - FREE
