The Nevada Department of Wildlife will hold an introductory fly-fishing class Saturday, Nov. 19 at Floyd Lamb Park near Highway 95 and Durango in the northwest portion of Las Vegas Valley. Participants will learn fly-fishing terminology, casting techniques and how to select the needed equipment. The class will be held in the old ranch house starting at 9 a.m. and concluding at 1 p.m. There is no charge for this class and the necessary equipment will be provided.
Due to space limitations, registration is required and will begin on Monday, Nov. 7 at 8 a.m. To register for the class, or for more information, contact Ivy Santee at 702-486-5127, ext. 3500.
