NDOW OFFERS BEGINNERS' FISHING CLINIC

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will be holding a free fishing clinic for beginning anglers of all ages Saturday, Feb. 21 at Sunset Park. The clinic will begin at 9 a.m. and will cover such basics as casting skills, fish identification, bait selection and knot tying. Participants will also have the opportunity to put their new found skills to the test so those who are 12-years old and older will be required to have a Nevada fishing license. For more information and registration contact Ivy Santee at (702) 486-5127 x 3503, Mon. – Fri., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW’s wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen’s license and conservation fees and a Federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org.
