Dave Budd holds up three of the largest fish from the catch of ten striper's caught on May 1, 2005 off of 33 Holes Picnic Area on Lake Mead. The fish were all caught on anchovies ten feet from shore.

Had some success fishing for prespawn bass in the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead. The water is up and there is lots of flooded brush in the coves. The bass are using this cover to there advantage as they move in to spawn. My sweetheart caught this four pounder on a "Hook Set" hair jig. This hawg was suspended on a point in about thirty feet of water. Hooray for the higher water in the lake! 4/28/05

Bill Locke took this Tom during the spring hunt in Overton. He has a 8 and 3/4 inch beard and weighed 17.5lbs.
My 9 yr old son Clint Grinsell caught this great 21" cutthroat at Pyramid Lake on April 10, 2005, trolling with a flatfish. He was as happy as could be. He wants to give me lessons on how to catch fish now. Maybe I should listen if he's going to keep catching this kind of fish.

Bryce and Noah doing great on their first duck hunt. River hunting at it's finest!

Vinny Karr in 2004 with his second buck in Area 10.

Here is a sample of the great job you and Dan are doing at Kirch. Thanks for a wonderful day at Adams McGill with my daughter Kelsie, age 11. She made me a proud dad!

Patrick Garth shows off his first brown trout caught in a stream. He caught this fish in the stream running from Eagle Valley .

As my father taught me how to enjoy & respect the great outdoors, I pass this on to my children. My son Brandon can honestly say, "My dad taught me how to fish before I could say fish!" Brandon, age six, is now fly fishing. Words can not express the joy I get watching him landing a fish on his own he is so prod of himself. This is a photo of our last trip up to Hay Meadows on March 12- 2005. On the way home in his own words he said, " I wouldn't be sad if we didn't catch any fish today, dad.  I just enjoy us spending time together." (Pricelesss)

My wife, Kay with today's catch from Boulder Beach. As a kid in Australia, she would ocean fish with her Dad but was only allowed to use a hand line. I bought her first rod and reel for her last year and took her on her first freshwater fishing trip.

The Three C's!
Colby, Cole and Craig, along with Lucky and Sid take a break from a great day chukar hunting in thier "secret spot" in late November 2004.

A day's hunt ends in success! Hunting with his dad, Colby Duncan harvested his first deer in the junior hunt the end of the day after spotting the buck in the morning.

This turkey was taken in Churchill County on opening day this 2005 season. He was spooked by some other hunters and flew into us about 20 yards away. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I shot him with my bow from right about that same distance. Now I just need to help my dad bag his turkey!

Area near Delamar where my dad and I had to take a break from coyote hunting and just appreciate the beautiful country of Nevada.
My Daughter Heidi Schuster 11 years old , Dad Pete, Dog Kiena  on the Truckee river late October - November 2004 got here first duck - a Canvasback. She was so happy, she ate it and would not let me have any. I told her next time she cleans the duck!

Here is a picture of my Grandson, Camden Leach. He was 2-1/2 years old at the time his dad took this picture at a family fishing outing. Camden loves to go fishing. Now, a year older, he will surely be looking forward to more trips with the family.
I shot my buck on opening morning after scouting him out a couple of weeks before in the Table Mountain range.  My hunting party from left to right is John Salois, myself Ryan Perchetti, Kenny Merlino, and Jeremy Salois.  The buck is 27" wide and 22" tall.

Father and Son Fun
Here is the very first fish ever caught by my 4 year old son Austyn Welter. Austyn caught the little striped bass on Lake Mead in the Vegas Wash area on Saturday, 1/22/05. I've never seen him so excited. He was using anchovies for bait. He caught another 4 stripers after that. I think he's hooked on fishing now just like his Dad.

Kyle Swanson and Mike Fleiner catch a perfect day for hunting Chukar. These birds were harvested in about two hours near Winnemucca as Mariah and Lilly led the duo into multiple coveys of snow bound birds. After missing multiple opportunities to fill his limit, Fleiner picked-up his final two birds with a single shot as his Brittany “Lilly” made a perfect point that led to a spectacular three bird flush to cap an awesome hunt.

"Thank you all (the hunting crew) for making my dream come true in Ely, 2004," said J.C.

My 11 year old daughter, Jennifer, and I, went to Pyramid Lake Saturday, March 13, 2004. Because the weather was so nice, I wanted Jenny to fish from a float tube with me. She is an avid flyfisher, as am I, but struggles to cast heavy shooting heads from the ladder. So, I bungi-corded our tubes together and we paddled around from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. What a great day together! Jennifer caught six fish, the smallest being 18". I took this picture of a 26" hog she landed about 10:30 a.m. on a black bugger. It is the biggest fish she has ever caught, and on a fly, it was priceless. Just look at the smile on her face. As she did with the other five she caught, she happily released the fish back to the lake. What an awesome experience for both of us.

Mother's Day Outing
My family took me out to Stewart Point after reading your web site on "Hot Spots" for Mother's Day fishing, only about 50 minutes from our house. The catfish were biting from 10 a.m. until about 12:30 and then from 5 p.m. until right after dark. We caught 10 catfish and only two stripers that were keepers. Many bites on frozen anchovies with a sinker and a leader of about 20". Great day for all.

A First Hunt to Remember
In November 2003, on the second day of the season and his first ever deer tag in the Junior Hunt, Timmy successfully took this beautiful massive 5X5, 31 and 1/2 inches wide buck. Dad and son shared in this great experience together on a clear day 16 degree day, in Area 195, Dad's old stomping grounds. After walking in on foot on about an inch of fresh snow, they spotted a buck and two doe about an hour in, and after quiet patience and some calm fatherly guidance, Timmy displayed assured confidence, and his 284 yard shot was right on target. Says Dad, "Timmy is 13 years old and I had never seen him with a bigger smile....I don't think my feet hit the ground going back to the jeep. What a great buck." This after passing up a nice 4X3 about 22 inches wide on the first day.
