Search Nevada's Waters For Abundance of Fish by Species

Ever wonder where you can find walleyes, mountain whitefish or Fish by Watersany other type of fish in Nevada? Simply select the species of interest below to view a list of fishable waters for that species.

The list only covers bodies of water such as lakes, ponds and reservoirs as well as major rivers. Streams are not listed because Nevada has over 600 active streams statewide. These streams, for the most part, contain rainbow trout, brook trout, cutthroat trout and brown trout or combinations thereof.

Refer to NDOW’s Angler Information Guides to get details on many of the more popular waters in the state.

Many of our reservoirs are stocking dependent, therefore abundance often depends on stocking numbers. This is usually the case with trout as the majority of our warm water species such as largemouth bass are self-sustaining.
