I was recently out at the mason valley wildlife management area on 5-16-10 and took a couple of pictures of some of the bass that i caught. I was at bass pond from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and caught 24 bass with the largest being 15". I was using rubber worms and also had some success with my flyrod. Then I went to north pond from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. There I caught and released 12 bass with the largest being 18 1/2" and close to 5 pounds. The other fish were between 14" and 16". I was using rubber worms and walking around in my waders casting to the brush piles. - Bruce Castro. |

| Anthony Bonifatto 2009 Rifle Elk Unit 262. |
Dale Raynor and his 2009 unit 23 Nevada bull elk. This was the rifle hunt during November and after five hard days of hiking and glassing from dark to dark, not to mention the previous week of scouting, Dale was finally rewarded with this 6x7 bull elk. The final score after the drying period ended up being 388 5/8"b.c. gross and netted 373 6/8" b.c. This hunt couldn't of been possible without the help of family members, Dave and Ronnie Raynor, and friends Darryl and Joey. I also would like to thank my brother Gene Raynor and his wife Louise Raynor for the dinners and helping out after the bull was down. Last but not least, thanks to my son Matthew for cleaning and packing out the bull, and for spotting him. - Dale Raynor |

| The 18 and 19 inch rainbow trout were caught on “secret bait” at Virginia Lake on Thursday April 8, 2010 around 2pm by Rod and Dewayne Hanke. These were very large (up to 4lbs) and beautiful hold over trout. - NDOW Game Warden Dave Patula |
Tina's first striper. She caught it on Lake Mojave in October 2009 on a small plastic rainbow trout lure while trolling. We love to camp on Lakes Mead & Mojave. We take our boat out about 12 times a year. We are heading back to Mojave this week-end for a three day camping trip. Thanks to NDOW for all they do, we sure enjoy our lakes. - Brian & Tina McMahon |

No guides were injured or used for this hunt. DIY Archery Bull Unit 23 2009
I spotted this bull 4 days prior to the season and hunted him for 12 days before he made the fatal mistake to give me a broad side shot at 25yds, he went just 50yds were he pilled up. He gross scores 380+ and he had 41 cows, 12 bulls depending on the day, Plus 1 other Giant trying unsuccessfully to win his girls back. One of those challenges took place before my own eyes at 60yds Thanks to the Nevada Dept. of Wildlife for their superior management which makes bulls of this caliber possible. This hunt was Incredible. - Guy Rohrbach |
Unit 081 Late Season Rifle Bull Elk
Kensen Lee took this bull at 130 yards with his 30/338. We had located a herd of about two hundred head at day break while using our spotting scopes. There were 15 bulls with the herd and the best were nested deep in the middle of the group. Kensen patience was amazing with 200 Head of elk at 60 yds with 15 bulls in it we waited for the Herd Bull to separate for a shot without injuring any other elk, as the bull separated slightly from the herd Kensen took aim and made a beautiful neck shot bull down and the pack began. We made short order though with the five of us it took just 2 1/2 hours to pack out. - Guy Rohrbach |
