Threats to Wildlife
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is responsible for the protection, restoration, and management of fish and wildlife resources in the state. Nevada’s wildlife faces threats from many different sources. Whether it is habitat damage, fire, invasive species or disease, all can cause serious impacts. As the state wildlife agency, NDOW is charged with protecting Nevada’s valuable wildlife resources and identifying and mitigating impacts to them.
