Help NDOW, in coordination with the USFS Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, plant bitterbrush seedlings on Harrison Pass in the Ruby Mountains to restore crucial mule deer habitat after the 2019 Corta Fire. Volunteers will meet in Jiggs at 9am on the morning of Saturday, November 4th. From Jiggs we will caravan out to the planting site on Harrison Pass. High clearance 4WD vehicles required, carpooling encouraged. Volunteers should bring work gloves, water and snacks. Please check the weather and dress appropriately. This is a family friendly project! Note: Project is weather dependent.

Driving Directions: Traveling from Elko, head south along State Route (SR) 227 for approximately 6.5 miles to Spring Creek, then turn on to SR 228 for 26 miles until reaching Jiggs, NV. Look for the NDOW vehicles.
