Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Program

Everyone can play a role in protecting Nevada’s aquatic ecosystems from aquatic invasive species (AIS). Let us show you how to clean, drain and dry your watercraft, and how to comply with the invasive species inspection procedures required of all Nevada boaters.

Education

Were you born after January 1, 1983? If so, you’ll need to complete a NDOW-approved boater education course before you can operate a boat on Nevada’s waterways. Whether you are the boat operator or not, we recommend all boaters take boating education courses and use our resources to stay safe on Nevada’s waters.
