Volunteer Guzzler Build – Revielle

Jun 3 - Jun 4

Help us bring water to wildlife! Join NDOW and the Fraternity for the Desert Bighorn in constructing two guzzler builds this weekend. Guzzlers are constructed to provide a reliable water source to wildlife. One guzzler site will be a drive-in site and the other will be a helicopter site. Volunteers who wish to partake in the helicopter site must be at least 16 years of age.

We will meet off the Extraterrestrial Hwy (375), coordinates 38.100448, -116.125306. We will be digging to level out dirt, constructing the apron to catch rainwater, and installing plumbing for the animals to access the water drinker. Dress in layers, as the weather can be cold in the morning and warm up in the afternoon. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy work boots, and work gloves. Bring plenty of water and snacks. All volunteers (including children) must create an NDOW volunteer account. Contact Michelle Lopez for more information at michelle.lopez@ndow.org or (702) 539-4070.
