Habitat & Range
Common Ravens are highly adaptable and are found throughout Nevada in almost any habitat. They are very well adapted to developed landscapes as well. Evidence suggests they have expanded their range and abundance due to human activities.

Natural History
Common Ravens will eat almost anything from small mammals to nesting birds, baby tortoises, nest eggs, and berries. They have also been known to eat carrion, scavenge from other predators, or visit human landfills. They do well around human habitations including farms, rural settlements and isolated houses. They will build their nests on cliffs, in trees, and on structures such as power-line towers, telephone poles, billboards, and bridges. Common Ravens are exceptionally intelligent and will work together to solve problems. They also have a fantastic memory, remembering facial features and locations cnad sharing this information with their flocks.
