Tonkin Springs Reservoir is located approximatley 54 miles north of Eureka off NV-278. Nestled at the base of the Roberts range, Tonkin Springs Reservoir is an isolated site known primarily for its fly-fishing opportunities. Although this reservoir sits primarily on private land, access is open to the public. A portion of the recreation site is also managed by the BLM. This site is undeveloped, yet offers fishing for Rainbow trout, chances to view waterfowl and other bird species, and plentiful opportunties to photograph additional wildlife along the way.
